viralGee provides browser-based creative tools including social post simulators, chat generators, meme creators, and utility generators. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how it is stored, and your rights regarding your information.

1. What We Collect

Usage Analytics

Basic traffic and product usage signals such as page views, clicks, device type, browser type, and referrer URL. We do not capture raw text you type for analytics purposes.

Account and Contact Data

If you create an account or submit forms (such as feedback, waitlists, or support requests), we collect the details you provide including your email address and any message content.

Billing Data

If you purchase a paid plan, payments are processed by Stripe. We store a reference to your Stripe customer ID and subscription status but do not store full card numbers or payment instrument details.

Generator Session Data and Snapshots

When you use a generator tool (such as a fake tweet, meme, or chat generator), we may collect and store the following on our servers for the purposes described in Section 3:

Session metadata: Which tool you used (e.g., “/tweet-generator”), when your session started and was last active, and a unique session identifier.
Form state snapshots (state_json): Periodic captures of the inputs and settings in the generator at the time of the snapshot, including any text you have typed into fields such as usernames, message bodies, or display names. This data is captured as structured JSON.
Generated image previews: Rendered image files (PNG, JPEG, or WebP) of your generator output at the time of the snapshot, stored in our secure cloud storage.
Image integrity hash: A SHA-256 checksum of each stored image used to detect duplicates and verify file integrity.

For logged-in users, session data is linked to your account. For anonymous users, sessions are associated with a randomly generated anonymous identifier stored in your browser’s session storage. This identifier is not persistent across browser sessions and does not identify you personally by itself.

IP Addresses

We may collect your IP address for abuse prevention and security purposes. IP addresses are hashed using SHA-256 before storage; raw IP addresses are not retained.

2. What We Do Not Collect

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
We do not store full payment card numbers or banking details.
We do not require account registration for core generator usage.
Analytics events capture interaction metadata (element types, click counts, value lengths) but not the raw text content of your inputs.

3. How We Use Data

Service operation: To provide, maintain, and deliver the generators and related features.
Debugging and quality assurance: Generator session snapshots and stored images allow our team to reproduce issues, diagnose rendering bugs, and improve output quality.
Customer support: If you report a problem with a generator, session data helps us investigate and resolve your issue.
Abuse and fraud prevention: To detect misuse, automated abuse, and policy violations.
Communication: To respond to support requests, feedback, or waitlist sign-ups you have submitted.
Legal compliance: To comply with applicable laws, regulations, or lawful requests.

Only authorized viralGee staff (administrators) can access raw session snapshots and stored images. Access is logged for accountability purposes.

4. Data Retention

We retain data only as long as necessary for the purposes stated above, subject to applicable legal obligations or security requirements:

Generator session data and snapshots (including stored images and state JSON) are retained for operational and debugging purposes. We review retention periodically and remove data that is no longer necessary.
Account data is retained for as long as your account is active or until you request deletion.
Analytics data is retained in aggregate form per our analytics provider’s terms.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and browser session storage for basic product functionality, session management, analytics, and performance improvements. Session storage values (such as your generator session ID) are cleared when you close your browser tab. You can manage cookies through your browser settings.

6. Third-Party Services

We rely on trusted third-party providers to operate the service. These include:

Supabase — database and file storage for session data, snapshots, and images.
Stripe — payment processing.
PostHog — product analytics.
Vercel — application hosting and delivery.
Crisp — customer support chat.

Each provider processes data according to their own privacy terms and, where applicable, under data processing agreements with us.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable data protection law, including the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you.
Request correction of inaccurate data.
Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention obligations).
Restrict or object to certain processing.
Data portability where technically feasible.

8. Children’s Privacy

viralGee is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided data to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Our infrastructure and third-party providers may process and store data in jurisdictions outside your country of residence. We take steps to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers in accordance with applicable law.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected with a revised “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
