What Does This Tool Actually Do?

It generates a screenshot-ready YouTube comment — the kind you see on any video: avatar, channel name, handle, timestamp, comment body, like count, reply count, and the optional verified badge. You control every field. Hit download and you get a high-res PNG that looks indistinguishable from a real comment, in either dark or light mode.

No account required. Type something, see it render live, download when it looks right.

Who Actually Needs a YouTube Comment Generator?

More people than you might expect. Content creators use comment mockups as social proof in thumbnails, end cards, or promotional graphics — showing what their community is saying without screenshotting live comments that might not be cropped cleanly. YouTubers mock up comments for reaction videos, YouTube Shorts scripts, and "reading your comments" compilations where they want a cleaner visual than a raw phone screenshot. Social media managers use comment screenshots in pitch decks and reports to illustrate engagement without exposing real usernames. Designers and marketers building app mockups, case study slides, or ad creatives need comments that look real but are fully customizable.

And yes, some people just want to make a joke comment for a meme. That works too.

Why Not Just Screenshot a Real Comment?

A few reasons. Real screenshots come with inconsistent resolution, partial UI chrome, and whatever notification icons happened to be visible. The comment you want might not exist yet, or the channel is private, or the like count is wrong, or the framing is off. Building the comment from scratch gives you full control: exact text, exact numbers, correct cropping, consistent resolution, and your choice of dark or light mode — every time.

What Makes This Generator Accurate?

We built the layout from actual YouTube comment rows, not from memory. The font stack is Roboto (YouTube's own), the spacing between elements matches YouTube's current CSS, and the like icon is drawn to spec. Dark mode uses YouTube's exact background hex (#0F0F0F), not a generic dark grey. Light mode uses the correct white with the proper border shade. The verified badge renders as a filled circle with a checkmark, exactly as it appears in the YouTube UI.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this free to use?

Yes, completely. No account, no trial, no credit card. Download as many comment PNGs as you need. There is an optional premium plan that removes the small viralGee branding watermark from exports and unlocks Ultra HD quality, but the generator itself is free forever.

Does the PNG have a watermark?

The comment itself has no watermark — the text, avatar, and engagement numbers are all clean. There is a small branded watermark on free exports. Premium users can remove it entirely and export at Ultra HD (3×) resolution.

Can I use my own avatar?

Yes. Click the avatar directly in the preview (or use the upload button in the sidebar), pick any image from your device, and it replaces the placeholder. It gets cropped to a circle automatically, just like YouTube does.

Does this work in dark mode?

Yes. Toggle "Dark Mode" in the sidebar and the preview switches to YouTube's dark theme instantly. Both modes are accurate to the current YouTube UI.

Can I set the like count to any number?

Yes. Click the like count directly in the preview to type a new value, or hover over it to reveal +/− buttons for quick adjustments. The display auto-formats large numbers (2431 shows as 2.4K).

Is generating fake YouTube comments legal?

Creating a comment screenshot for entertainment, satire, design mockups, or educational use is generally fine. Using a fake comment to impersonate a real person, deceive viewers, or manipulate opinion is not. Use common sense — this is a screenshot generator, not an injection tool.

What resolution does the PNG export at?

Standard is 1× (760px wide), HD is 2× (1520px), and Ultra HD is 3× (2280px). Ultra HD also removes the watermark and requires Premium.
